The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) will hold its annual Women in IP Law (WIP) Global Networking Event on April 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM, bringing together women leaders, practitioners, and advocates in intellectual property from across the globe. This year’s theme, “Rooted in Real – Women in IP Redefining the Narrative,” is an opportunity to celebrate authentic experiences, foster genuine connections, and showcase the real stories of women who continue to shape and transform the field of intellectual property law. More information about the global event may be accessed here: https://bit.ly/4kpU9lD.
The event takes place on a single day with sub-events held simultaneously in different cities, such as Los Angeles, New York, Sao Paolo, London, Munich, Beijing, and Melbourne. Federis & Associates Law Offices will host the event at Suite 2005, 88 Corporate Center, Valero corner Sedeno Streets, Makati City 1227. The gathering is expected to bring together practitioners, in-house counsel, government officials, and other IP professionals.
The evening will be graced by Attorney Josephine Alon, Division Chief at the Bureau of Legal Affairs of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). She has been an Adjudication Officer for over two decades and has witnessed women’s leadership in the Philippine IP landscape. She will also share her own story as an Adjudication Officer, how she has navigated the challenges of deciding IP cases and how she flourished in this field.
The program reflects AIPLA’s commitment to supporting and advancing women practitioners by providing a platform to share their experiences and professional journeys.
